For my project I made some special cards for the guys in my life.

#10 Spiral Notebook Cover

Remove spiral from the notebook. Cut a piece of textured CS the same size. Use the original cover as a patern to punch the holes in your new cover. Reinstall the spiral and decorate the cover. I used Cocoa Textured CS and Unforgetable My Stickies.

#9 Water Bottle Pocket

Use textured CS to make a water bottle pocket to hold the a flavored drink mix to add to the water.

Candy in a Bag:

Cut a piece of Cardstock, add some flowers, insert into a clear bag, add some grass and candy and you're ready with a quick candy treat.

#8 Framed Name

Using Jeanette's idea I made a 12 X 12 framed name plaque for my granddaughter's birthday. She picked the colors. The plaque is made on the backside of Ocean textured cardstock. The textured cardstock gives a finished look to anything that will be put on a wall.

#7 Make a Scrapbook Page

I'm using textured card stock for the base of my monthly calendars. It give strength and texture to the page. The Buttercup colored textured CS is the back side of Honey. This page is Bottom Border-Title from Reflections.

Tuesday's Tip

How to color the Color Ready Alphabets:
Don't discard the waxy sheet from a completed card kit. Use it to color your lettters. Take the waxy sheet and pull off the left over scraps. Place your letters on the sheet and color. Add your letters to your project. Clean your sheet for future use.

#6 Make a special edge on your card

Trim the edge of your card to expose the inside lighter/darker color.

Candy Bar Pull

Cut a 6 X 6 Paper. Score at 1 3/4 on each side. Adhere the seams in the back and on the bottom. Crimp the bottom seam. Make a slit for the ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the candy bar and insert into the wrap. Pull the ribbon ends through the slits and tie with a bow. Decorate the front of the wrap.

#5 Print your photos on Textured Cardstock

I wanted to put my son's baby picture on the top of his Memory Keeper box but a regular photo would get scratched and look bad over the years. So I printed the photo on Textured CS and it gave the perfect look to the box. For this project I used Colonial White Textured CS.

Tuesday's Tip

Making A Mini Basket

Cut a 6X6 square. Score at 1 1/2, 3, and 4 1/2. Rotate and score again the same measurements

Cut on all the score lines down to the first score line.

Put adhesive on all 4 sides of one square on each side of the basket.

Fold the basket on the outside score lines. Do not fold the score lines in the center.

Attach each square to the square next to the one with the adhesive.

To finish your basket cut a 3/4" X 6" strip and attach to your basket with brads.
Decorate to coordinate with your theme.

My finished basket will be full of Easter candy soon.

#4 Mini Baskets

Fill these cute little baskets with any special goodies. These baskets are fun for weddings, birthdays, Easter, Mother's Day Tea, or any party theme. Tutorial coming.

Quick Valentine Surprise:

Grab an empty Close to my Heart ribbon round tube and fill it with Hugs and Kisses. Wrap some paper and ribbon around the tube and add a Valentine sentiment.

#3 Flower Pot
Cut a piece of 3 1/2 X 9 Textured Cardstock. Score at 3 12/ and 7. Fold the 2" section forward revealing the lighter side of the CS. Fold the 3 1/2 section back to form a pocket for your message. Cut the 3 1/2 pocket at a slant to form the pot shape. Tie a ribbon around the top of the pot to keep it closed. The insert piece is 2 1/2 X 4 1/2

#2 Nugget Box

Tuesday's Tip

Distressing Textured Card Stock

Scissor distress the edge of your CS by keeping the scissors closed and scraping the edges of your card stock.

To get the crumpled look, spray your card stock with a light coating of water. Scrunch it up into a ball. Flatten your scrunched CS flat and sponge with bamboo ink. Apply to your project when it dries.

Nuggets in a Bag

It's amazing how a little Sweet Leaf can change the look of the project. This is a Valentine Sweet but it could be for a wedding or birthday depending on the sentiment hanging from the heart.

Colors are from Jeanette's Color Me Monday. The Bag Topper is made with Textured Card stock. The light purple color is the back of the Pansy Purple Textured CS.

Valentine Cards in a box

Four Valentine cards from the "Greeting Card Workshop" in Wishes are made with That's Amore(X7107) paper pack and Soulmates Word Puzzle(D1254) stamp set. Quick and easy to make. After they're finished put them in a special Criss Cross Box. Directions for the box can be found on Vicki Wiznuik's blog.

Opps.. Tuesday Tip on Wednesday

My Mom came for a visit yesterday from Sacramento and it wasn't until this morning I realized that yesterday was Tuesday. Opps...

Anyway here's the tip:

Now that we can get those bitty sparkles in bulk (Z1263) we can sparkle everything we want. However, those bitty things are a pain to put on our project just in the right spot. But if you take your micro tip scissors (Z534) like pliers and grab those sparkles you can set them exactly where you want them. Now you can sparkle up your projects with precision and ease.
